Our company's mission
Arkeale specialises in the design and manufacture of local solutions for recovering bio-waste. The young innovative company was founded in France in 2020 by two engineers.

We are a team of multi-disciplinary engineers committed to a low-tech approach
With a strong desire for social and ecological impact
On a mission to contribute to a more sustainable world.
Our team

Clément Carrato
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mechanical engineer
An epicurean by nature, with a passion for sports and nature, I decided to combine my energy and experience as an industrial engineer to work for a company with a social and ecological mission.
Hélène Mastin
Associate
PhD Biochemist
As a young entrepreneur and artist with an atypical background, I'm bringing my expertise as a biochemist to a project that addresses local ecological and social issues.
Houssam Houmine
Hydraulic engineer
What a strange creature an engineer is! People run away from problems, but I need them for my job. An engineer doing R&D adds paradox to strangeness.
Clément Christmann
Head of development
I like contributing to more sustainable solutions, whether it's with a ratchet or a pedal!
Louis Busch
Automation engineer
Raised by MacGyver, I try to use my hands to participate in projects that seem right to me, and also to use a little bit of my head to make sure I don't pick the wrong thread.
Claire Verdonk
Business Manager
As an agricultural engineer from Strasbourg I'm taking up the challenges of the ecological transition at Arkeale by creating the world of tomorrow, with my bike and ukulele.
Eliott Speyser
IT Engineer
I'm passionate about IT development and I'd like to put my knowledge in this field to good use at Arkeale, by making a modest contribution to the design of a project I enjoy.
Cyril Kleinpoort
Mechanical Design Engineer
Trained as a mechanical engineer and handyman/devoted cyclist on Sundays, I come to roll up my sleeves with Arkeale and be part of the change !
Emilie Trouillet
Head of sales
With a multidisciplinary toolbox shaped by many professional and outdoor challenges, I am happy to apply my sales and marketing experience to help Arkeale climb any and all summits.
Serban Buia
Mechanical engineer
A mechanical engineer by training, I like to spend time in the workshop and to get my hands dirty. Curious, adventurous, and handy, challenges don't scare me.
Our first partner
Bio-waste
Bio-waste, a poorly exploited resource
- 28.4 million tonnes of bio-waste are produced each year in France (ADEME)
- Over 80% are destroyed by incineration and landfill
- Once recycled they are a source of low-carbon energy and produce organic fertilisers.

The legal obligation to sort bio-waste
- Professionals tend to prefer centralised recovery units which do not allow redistribution of energy
- Centralised units increase economic and environmental cost as they require the transport of bio-waste over long distances,
- Centralised units are difficult to integrate into their environment, leading to social mistrust on the part of local residents.

Our solution: the BioCapsule®
- That's why we've created the BioCapsule®: a compact, innovative recycling unit
- which blends in perfectly with its urban environment
- And which allows the energy and fertilisers produced to be consumed directly on site.
