How do we monitor the performance of your BioCapsules® remotely? 

Our micro-anaerobic digestion units are designed to operate completely autonomously. Once the feedstock has been introduced, gas is produced continuously byanaerobicbacteria. To ensure this production runs 24 hours a day and to maintain full control over the system, all our BioCapsules® are remotely controlled and monitored by our teams.

But in practical terms, how does this work? We explain everything in this article 

How is data collected? 

Each unit has its ownindustrial PLC,which automatically manages the BioCapsule®’s operating cycles and processes.

Thanks to a network of sensors and an intelligent alert system, the PLC constantly monitors key parameters such as: 

● The temperature of the digester,

● The amount of biogas produced,

● The internal pressure,

● The tank’s filllevel… 

The controller is programmed toreact instantly.If an alert is triggered, it automatically secures the installation to prevent any incidents. 

Remote control of the unit 

The control unit transmits all captured data in real time tothe Ark-app,a software programme developed to monitor performance indicators and control the BioCapsule® remotely. 

Thanks to the Ark-app, our teams can send instructions to the controller to make adjustments or optimise cycles with just a few clicks, without having to travel to the site. 

For your part, you have a user-friendly interface to check the system’s status and monitor your gas production.  

For you, this guarantees complete peace of mind. If an issue is detected, our teams can diagnose and resolve it remotely, ensuring a swift and effective solution. 

Performance monitoring and tracking with Grafana 

All the raw data continuously collected by the PLC is sent to a database. TheGrafanatool thentransforms these thousands of data points into dynamic graphs, thereby optimising the readability and monitoring of the data by our experts. 

By compiling this information, we ensure long-term monitoring of your plant’s performance.

This enables us to:
1. Produce accurate operational reports.
2. Continuously optimise biogas production.
